Psidium Cattleyanum

Or Guayabita del Perú, is a small tree which mostly grows to 2–4 (6-12ft)-meter heights, although some can reach 13 meters (42ft). This fruit has thin skin that ranges from yellow to a dark red or purple, is ovular in shape, and grows to around 4 cm (1.5in) in length. Its flowers grow either individually or in clusters of three, and each flower has five petals. The whole fruit can be eaten but the skin is often removed for a sweeter flavour. It can also be used to make jam and Its leaves may be brewed for tea. The plant is crucial for the reforestation of the Amazon Forest in Brazil, which also a home to this plant.
