Common name is Fijian Longan. Native to Asia-Pacific region Fijian Longan can grow up to 40m and is sometimes grown for its edible fruits in its native region. They Taste similar to lychee. Roasted or baked seeds taste and smell like sour cheese. In Fiji, extracts from leaves or bark, or combination of both are used to treat a wide range of problems, like stomachache, diarrhea, pain reliever (joints, bones, muscles, headaches), as well flu or cold medicine. Some diabetics use it as a source of sugars.
